  • The Nursing and Midwifery Council’s Website gives information on standards for conduct, performance and ethics and maintains a register of qualified nurses. The NMC also provides advice for nurses and midwives and considers allegations of misconduct, competence or unfitness to practice.

  • The Royal College of Nursing site contains information about the College, forthcoming events, campaigns and conference, access to clinical guidelines and other publications, plus information about nursing, including pay, courses and the history of nursing.

  • The Royal College of Midwives is a professional organization and trade union for midwives. Their site provides information about the organization and its services. News, press releases, consultations, conferences and educational courses are displayed along with details of RCM publications, documents and midwifery links. A membership area gives details about how to join the RCM, and there are pages for midwifery students and information relating to international midwifery.
